PREPARING TO PRINT
The following guidelines will aid you in preparing your files for printing at DeHART's.
Talk to your DeHART's sales representative before you send us your files. Good planning and
preparation will insure an easier and less time consuming experience.
When selecting fonts to use in your document, make sure you have the PostScript fonts that
correspond with the screen fonts you have selected. Screen fonts cannot be embedded into a PostScript
file.
If your document is to be run in a signature format, set your pages up individually. In
other words, give each page in your book a single page in your application. DeHART's will
automatically paginate the book for a signature run.
- Be sure there is enough room in the margins for binding and any trim cuts that may
need to be done.
Crop marks may be used if you do not have any images that will bleed off the pages.
- Insert blank pages wherever you want them to appear.
- Remember to print a proof of your document and make any necessary corrections before
submitting your files to us.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to call us (408) 982-9118.
