Sunnyvale, CA -- A series of seminars designed to teach the essentials of digital graphics and production for print and the Web is coming to Sunnyvale, CA. This seminar series is designed for graphic arts software users of all experience levels.

Taz Tally Seminars presents four half-day seminars, each on a different graphic arts topic, on Monday and Tuesday, October 9 & 10, 2000. The seminars are hosted by DeHART's Printing Services at the Sunnyvale Sheraton in Sunnyvale, CA.

During each seminar, nationally known instructor Taz Tally uses an integrated approach to teach participants how to use the software available on their desktops to their fullest potential. Tally is a renowned software expert with nearly 20 years of experience in graphic production. He has created extensive training videos and CDs for the graphics and printing industry, and has authored the books "Avoiding the Output Blues," and "Avoiding the Scanning Blues."

"How to make graphics, file formats, scanners and photos work more effectively for you."
Topics include the best file formats for the Web, how to create graphics for both personal computer and MAC formats, and how to handle tricky files. The seminar is for those with little to mid-level experience.

  "How to refine and prepare for print and the Web with maximum results."
Topics include proper image resolution and color depth settings for output to print and the Web, how to get documents and graphics ready for a printing company; and what questions to ask to insure that a proof reflects the file's appearance. The seminar is for those with little to advanced experience.

"How to get more of the capabilities out of Photoshop that this powerful program was designed to deliver."
The seminar offers the prostechniques to master projects such as complex selections, masks, lighting effects and editing Photoshop files created by others. The seminar is designed for mid-level to advanced users.

  "How to manage color in designing, scanning and proofing for print and the Web."
The seminar offers tips on how to create and use color profiles to match the user's scanner, monitor and printer; tools and software for color management; and how to color calibrate a scanner to achieve consistent results. The seminar is designed for more advanced users.
